IP, OFFICIAL SPONSOR OF THE '97 EURO-EFFIE

A branch of Havas Intermediation, the IP group, the leading advertising sales operator both international and plurimedia chose to be the Official Sponsor of the 1997 European Advertising Effectiveness Award, organized this year by AACC(1), UDA(2) and the magazine CB News.

Initiated by the leading European agencies and advertisers' associations, Euro-Effie distinguishes advertising campaigns which are both exceptionally successful and creative in achieving defined marketing goals in at least three European countries. This year seven countries will participate to the competition: France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands and the United-Kingdom. A European Jury, composed of one representative of each of the advertisers and agencies of the participating countries, as well as at least one representative of an internationally active market research institute will award gold, silver and bronze Euro-Effie during a ceremony which will take place in Paris on Friday October the 17 1997. This Award ceremony will be held in the framework of "La Cité de la Pub" (The Advertising City) and during "La Semaine de la Pub" (The Advertising Week).

IP markets advertising space and time for 500 print, radio and TV media in more than 20 countries. IP Network, Havas Intermediation's international sales network is located in seven European capitals, the United States and Japan. The company represents national media - handled or not by IP nationally - outside their home markets and handles international sales for three paneuropean media: BBC World, ARTE and EURONEWS. Also a service provider, it furnishes all international clients with key information regarding media and national advertising market environments.

IP and IP Network work with almost all advertising investors on each market, with the 200 leading worldwide advertisers and with all agency networks and media buying groups. They actively participates in the work of national and international professional bodies, particularly in the field of marketing. In 1996 the group posted an aggregate turnover of 17.17 billion FRF.

The IP group provides added value in terms of sales via its capacity to develop communications solutions which take advantage of the positioning and complementary nature of the media it represents, as well as reliable analyses, in order to guarantee that advertisers benefit from maximum expenditure effectiveness and profitability.

In this context, IP was bound to be sensitive to the values conveyed by EURO-EFFIE, given its European scope and tribute to advertising campaign effectiveness.
