APPOINTMENT OF A NEW GROUP CORPORATE SECRETARY

Pierre-Yves Romain, the Legal Director of IP Arbo since 1995, has joined the Havas Intermediation Group as company Secretary, a position previously held by Jean Méry.

Under authority of the Chairman, Pierre-Yves Romain will:
- handle contacts and coordination between the Havas Intermediation Chairman, foreign subsidiaries and their external IP stockholders and/or media clients;
- manage legal affairs of the new companies Peaktime and Adways;
- prepare, conduct and provide the follow-up for the various committees of the Havas Intermediation group;
- participate, as the Assistant General Counsel of Havas Intermediation, in IP's development, particularly at the international level.

 

Pierre-Yves Romain, 35, holds a Masters degree in business law, a DESS (Diploma of Specialized Higher Studies) in international trade law, and an MCJ (Master of Comparative Jurisprudence) from the University of Texas at Austin. He began his career as a business law attorney in 1989, with the American firm Cahill Gordon & Reindel in Paris. In 1991, he joined the American law firm Hughes Hubbard & Reed in Paris, where he continued to practice general business law both at the local and international levels, particularly in the fields of corporate law and contract law. In March 1995, he joined the IP group as the General Counsel of IP Arbo.
